Most people know Prestige Worldwide Logistics as a freight company—but what they may not know is the heart behind it.
Back in 2018, life hit me with a gut punch I’ll never forget. My best friend’s wife passed away suddenly—no warning, no explanation—leaving him to raise their three young kids on his own. It was devastating. What made it even more surreal was that she and I were born the same day, in the same hospital: Royal Oak Beaumont, 1985. I couldn’t stop thinking… that could’ve been me.
Then, not long after, another one of my closest friends lost his sister to cancer. She was young. A mom. She, too, left behind three kids—and a husband now carrying a weight most of us can’t imagine.
Two of my best friends, two unimaginable losses, both left with the same story: men turned single fathers overnight, trying to hold it all together.
That’s when the idea hit me. I didn’t want to just sit with the sadness—I wanted to do something. I had always dreamed of creating an event that could bring people together, raise awareness, and give back to the community.
So my best friend and I set out to start a charity—to support single parents, not just financially, but emotionally too. We weren’t able to get the nonprofit off the ground in time... but the mission stayed with us, and that’s how the Prestige Worldwide Classic was born.
It’s more than a golf tournament—it’s a tribute. A day to honor lost loved ones, support families who are still healing, and raise money for causes that matter. It's our way of turning pain into purpose and reminding people they’re never alone.
Haittam Grieb founded Prestige Worldwide Logistics in 2011. Since then, it has evolved from a freight brokerage into a full-service third-party logistics (3PL) provider, securing contracts with major clients, including government entities and leaders in the automotive and aerospace sectors.
Wish Upon a Teen is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, established in May of 2011, to help teenagers who have developmental or medical conditions. Through creative, interactive, social, and educational events, the organization allows them to rediscover and rebuild their self-esteem as they continue their journey to adulthood. In doing so, Wish Upon a Teen provides ongoing support to an age-group not frequently targeted by those in the charitable community.
